Account & sign-in

Magic links, signing in, changing email.

  • How does sign-in work?+
    We don't use passwords. Enter your email on /accountand we'll send you a sign-in link. Click the link within 15 minutes and you're in. The session lasts 30 days on that device.
  • I never received the sign-in email.+
    Check your spam folder first. Sign-in emails come from no-reply@crynetsolutions.com. If it's not there after a couple of minutes, request a new link — the old one stops working when you do. Still nothing? Email support@crynetsolutions.com.
  • Can I change the email on my account?+
    Email us at support@crynetsolutions.com from the old address and we'll move your licenses across to the new one. We do this manually as a security check.

Licenses & activation

License keys, activation limits, transfers.

  • Where do I find my license keys?+
    They're in your account at /account/licenses. Sign in with the email you used at checkout and every license you own will be listed there. You can also search your inbox for “Your Crynet license” — we email the key right after purchase.
  • How many devices can I activate on one license?+
    Personal and Lifetime licenses activate on 1 device. Pro Lifetime activates on 3 devices. The number of activations used and remaining is shown on your license card under “Devices”.
  • I reformatted my PC. Can I activate again?+
    Yes. If your activation count is at the limit, email support@crynetsolutions.com with your license key and we'll release an old activation so you can re-activate on the same machine.
  • Can I transfer my license to someone else?+
    License keys are non-transferable per our Terms of Service.

Downloads & installation

Where to download, system requirements.

  • Where do I download Crynet Showcase?+
    Click Try it free on the product page for the latest installer. After purchase, the same download is also linked from your licenses page.
  • What are the system requirements?+
    Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit). About 200 MB of disk space. An internet connection for first-time activation and metadata lookups.
  • Will Crynet products run on macOS or Linux?+
    Not yet. Our products are Windows-first because that's where the gap was biggest. We don't have public dates for other platforms.

Billing & refunds

Payment methods, refunds, receipts.

  • What payment methods do you accept?+
    All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported by your browser.
  • How do I get a refund?+
    Within 14 days of purchase, email support@crynetsolutions.com with your order details. Full terms on our Refund Policy page.
  • Where is my receipt?+
    Stripe sends a receipt to your purchase email automatically. If you can't find it, check your spam folder or email us and we'll resend.
  • Do you charge VAT / sales tax?+
    Tax is applied automatically based on your billing address at checkout, where required by law. The total before payment shows the breakdown.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to fix them.

  • The app says my license is invalid.+
    Check that the key is copied correctly with no extra spaces. Also confirm you're online — first-time activation needs internet. If it still fails, send the key + a screenshot to support@crynetsolutions.com.
  • Posters / metadata aren't loading.+
    Metadata comes from TMDB and TVDB. If their servers are slow or down, lookups will time out. Wait a few minutes and try again. You can also check our status page for any incident updates.
  • How do I report a bug?+
    Email support@crynetsolutions.com with steps to reproduce, your Windows version, and a screenshot if visual. Bug reports go directly to the dev team — we read every one.
